Why do I need a nurse when I have paralegals in my office?

While paralegals bring important skills to your team, experienced nurse legal consultants possess a familiarity and understanding of the inner dimensions of the medical system: the people, the places, the tools, the practices (both standard and "non-standard"). This familiarity only comes with years of involvement as a health care practitioner.

I have physicians screen my medical cases, why would I need a nurse?

Even if you sometimes use physicians to screen your cases, you would benefit from a nurses services because you value cost effectiveness and efficiency! Nurses charge a fraction of physician's fees. Physicians are rarely as familiar with the complexity of a medical record as a nurse.

Physicians are not educated in nursing and cannot act as experts as to standard of nursing care--only nurses can do that. What would a reasonable nurse do in a particular circumstance? A physician wouldn't have a clue and cannot and should not be providing such information.
